would like to welcome a detail-oriented
Accountant
in our office in
Nairobi, Kenya
The role is responsible for day-to-day tasks in the Accounts Payable team.
Responsibilities
- Post supplier invoices and reconcile supplier balances in the SAP system.
- Prepare accounts payable and receivable schedules, including necessary adjustment postings in SAP.
- Record accurate and timely accounting entries to support monthly financial close.
- Perform bank and vendor reconciliations, ensuring all variances are investigated and resolved promptly.
- Maintain and update accruals and prepayment schedules in line with accounting standards.
- Manage the Fixed Assets Register, including additions, disposals, and movement schedules.
- Support both internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit queries.
- Maintain accurate records of all daily financial transactions.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of all financial records in compliance with audit and company requirements.
- Process supplier payments and ensure adherence to company policies and timelines.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Undertake any other finance-related tasks assigned from time to time.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detai
- Strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting packages (preferably SAP) and Microsoft office solutions.
- Well-developed planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and management skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative team approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with accuracy and professionalism.
Experience Requirements
- 2-3 years of professional experience in Financial Accounting.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- At least CPA (2) /ACCA qualification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
