Job Overview
The accountant supports the Finance Department by managing bookkeeping, payments, reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role ensures timely processing of employee, vendor, and statutory payments, maintains accurate financial records, and supports compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements. This role reports to the Accounting & Compliance Manager.

What You Will Do

  • %u2022 Support month-end/year-end close process & Group reporting.
  • %u2022 Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable
  • %u2022 Analyse financial information and summarize financial status
  • %u2022 Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
  • %u2022 Assist with all tax audits and tax returns
  • %u2022 Completes external audit by analysing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
  • %u2022 Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • %u2022 Ensure compliance with GAAP principles

Qualifications

  • %u2022 Bachelor%u2019s degree in accounting or finance
  • %u2022 3 years%u2019 experience in accounting/finance
  • %u2022 Bilingual speakers of French and English will be given priority
  • %u2022 Audit background will be added advantage
  • %u2022 Experience working for a global company is an added advantage
  • %u2022 Experience with financial reporting requirements
