JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION LEAD

About This Job:

Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a man power management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.

On behalf of our client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Production Lead to work in Nairobi, Kenya

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Key Account Executive, the role is responsible for the entire production and factory hygiene services and handles everything involved, such as the project scope, managing the project team, as well as the resources assigned to the project. They also work directly with the Key Account Executive to ensure the project has a set direction for success.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with Service delivery Manager to implement project goals.
  • Implement and ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and procedures. 100% safe execution of all services/jobs.
  • Ensure all internal and site processes and standard operating procedures are available to and understood by all staff and strictly complied with. Ensure training and records for the same.
  • Invoke the consequence matrix in case of any safety and/or security violations from the staff.
  • Directly responsible for implementing the full scope of utilities and facilities departments
  • Overall responsible for delivery of the entire scope of the contract
  • Ensure all client correspondence is attended to through response, closure, update and feedback

· Assign duties to project staff to implement project goals, as needed.

  • Communicating your project plan continuously both internally and with the client
  • Ensure all requested services are delivered OTIF and invoicing done within the following week
  • Monitoring project performance and agreeing on priorities with client.
  • Ensure adequate and competent staffing to ensure 100% timely and quality service delivery
  • Ensure proper tracking of attendance for respective staff ensuring weekly day off and minimal overtime
  • Proper leave planning to ensure all staff take leave without service interruption
  • Prepare, maintain and update action trackers as required by the service scope.
  • Organize for weekly/monthly client meetings and share minutes with the service delivery manager and key account executive
  • Ensure all project staff have updated JDs and KPIs clearly indicating deliverables and success measures
  • Ensure a continuous training plan for your team
  • Timely escalation of all due matters internally and to the client for quick resolution and closure
  • Analyze project performance and advise the Service Delivery Manager on improvements
  • Maintaining all departmental records including check lists, jobs logs, action closure trackers, staff attendance etc.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment deployed on site are well maintained and safely kept at all times
  • Ensure all new staff are properly inducted and trained on the scope, standards and site rules
  • Ensure proper housekeeping in all work areas

· Perform any other duties as the job may demand

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

· Diploma/degree in Mechanical engineering or related course with over four years' experience in busy manufacturing operations

· Excellent planning & Organization skills.

· Basic Accounting and proficiency in Excel is desired

· Excellent interpersonal and Communication skills

· The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Tact, swiftness and attention to detail are a MUST

· Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills

· Pro-active, flexible, positive and reliable

· Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, clients and cross-functional teams
