About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and market-savvy Ecommerce Manager
 to lead our online marketplace operations in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise working with major e-commerce platforms in Kenya such as 
Jumia, Kilimall, Sky.Garden, Copia, Masoko
, and others. This role requires strong on-ground presence, deep understanding of the market, and category management skills, combined with advanced operational capabilities in payments, logistics, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow our presence across key Kenyan marketplaces (Jumia, Kilimall, Sky.Garden, Copia, Masoko, and others).
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales, visibility, and customer engagement.
  • Oversee marketplace listings, campaigns, promotions, and seasonal planning.
  • Integrate and manage payment solutions to ensure smooth checkout and customer experience.
  • Negotiate, manage, and maintain 
    3PL (third-party logistics) contracts
     and partnerships.
  • Identify, address, and overcome logistics challenges to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and optimize marketplace performance through data analysis and competitor insights.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with marketplace account managers and logistics partners.

Requirements

  • Minimum 
    4 years' experience
     managing e-commerce marketplace operations in Kenya.
  • In-depth knowledge of local e-commerce platforms, market dynamics, and consumer trends.
  • Strong experience in 
    payment integration
     and 
    3PL contract management
    .
  • Proven ability to resolve 
    logistics challenges
     and maintain service quality.
  • Hands-on experience with category management, pricing, and promotions.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-ground and coordinate across multiple teams.
