Maintenance Engineering Internship (6 months)

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Are you interested in how machines work and want to build engineer skills? We're offering a 6-month Maintenance Engineering Internship where you'll gain real hands-on experience working with consumer-facing equipment in the field.

You'll be part of a team that keeps our machines in top condition — and you'll also talk with customers to understand issues, explain basic fixes, and support smooth operations.

If you have a Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or strong technical skills and a desire to learn, this could be the start of your career in engineering and customer facing work.

What We Do

Novek is eliminating single use plastic from everyday goods. We build hardware and software technology, and work with big global companies to do it.

What You'll Do

·      Help inspect, maintain, and repair consumer machines and equipment.

·      Assist with preventive maintenance and daily performance checks.

·      Visit customer sites to troubleshoot problems and explain simple solutions.

·      Record service activities and share updates with the team.

·      Support continuous improvement and user satisfaction efforts.

What We're Looking For

·      Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

·      Strong technical interest and willingness to learn.

·      Good communication skills — able to speak clearly with customers in the field and internally.

·      Reliable, curious, and hands-on problem solver.
