Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Biomedical Engineer located in Nairobi. The role involves designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting biomedical equipment and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. On a day-to-day basis, the Biomedical Engineer will perform preventive maintenance to optimize functionality, provide technical support for clinical users, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the effective use of medical devices. Additionally, the engineer will conduct regular inspections, develop maintenance logs, and contribute to the enhancement of biomedical systems and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Biomedical Engineering principles and Clinical Engineering practices
  • Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment and expertise in Equipment Maintenance
  • Skillset in Preventive Maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards is an added advantage
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
