Role Summary 

The Regional Manager  Africa will oversee AvadaPay's African operations providing leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to the CEOs of all country subsidiaries This role is responsible for ensuring each country operation achieves sustainable growth, manages costs effectively, and aligns with AvadaPay's overall vision

The Regional Manager will act as the bridge between Group leadership and local country CEOs ensuring strong governance, financial discipline, and operational excellence while driving the expansion of AvadaPay across Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and oversight to country CEOs across Africa

  • Translate AvadaPay's global strategy into actionable regional and country-level plans

  • Lead regional expansion by identifying growth opportunities, new markets, and strategic partnerships

  • Oversee the effective running of all country operations, ensuring financial sustainability and operational efficiency

  • Develop and monitor regional budgets, optimizing operational costs and ensuring resource efficiency

  • Establish and maintain strong governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks across all subsidiaries

  • Define clear KPIs for country CEOs and ensure regular performance reviews

  • Drive accountability by tracking operational and financial performance across markets

  • Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across subsidiaries

  • Represent AvadaPay in high-level engagements with regulators, partners, and stakeholders across Africa

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with governments, financial institutions, and key industry players

  • Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies across the region

  • Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, and growth within country teams

  • Ensure scalability of operations to support AvadaPay's long-term expansion strategy

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)

  • Minimum of 12+ years' senior leadership experience with at least 5 years in a regional or multi-country role within fintech, and payments

  • Proven track record of overseeing CEOs or senior executives across multiple geographies

  • Strong knowledge of African financial markets, regulatory environments, and cross-border operations

  • Exceptional skills in strategic planning, P&L management, and operational efficiency

  • Ability to build and lead high-performing multicultural teams across diverse environments

  • Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills

  • Fluency in English (French is an added advantage)
