Nairobi, Nairobi Area, Kenya InfinityPath Talent Full time

Role Description:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join our development team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that meet the needs of our users and drive business success. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to deliver high-quality software that is scalable, reliable, and efficient.

Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, debugging and troubleshooting software issues, and contributing to the development of new features and enhancements. You will work with modern programming languages, frameworks, and tools, while adhering to best practices in software engineering, including version control, testing, and code reviews. As a Software Engineer, you will also be expected to actively participate in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions, bringing new ideas and technical solutions to the table.

In addition to coding, you will assist in improving development processes, optimizing performance, and ensuring that the software is secure and scalable. This role provides an excellent opportunity for personal and professional growth, with the chance to work on a variety of challenging projects in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software development, with proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript. Experience with modern development frameworks, cloud technologies, and tools such as Git, Docker, or CI/CD pipelines is also highly desirable. A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles is essential for success in this role.

You should have strong problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code. Experience with agile development methodologies and an ability to work in a team environment are important, as collaboration and communication are key to the success of our projects.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience and demonstrated technical skills will also be considered. We value candidates who are passionate about coding, have a strong desire to learn, and are motivated by the challenge of solving complex technical problems.

  • Whether you're a seasoned developer or someone looking to grow your career in software engineering, we are looking for individuals who are driven, curious, and eager to contribute to building innovative software solutions that make a difference.
