We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Interpretation Billing and Analytics Specialist to join our Interpretation team and ensure accurate, timely billing operations that support our global language services delivery.

Overview
The Interpretation Billing and Analytics Specialist is a crucial role responsible for coordinating all billing activities as well as operations and financial reporting for the interpreting department. This position requires facilitating billing processes and enhancing existing processes to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for clients and payments to vendors. The role is responsible for working closely with the accounting department to develop these processes, create documentation to reflect these processes, and provide training and oversight to ensure processes are well understood and followed by all. This position requires a detail-oriented and problem-solving individual who can navigate complex billing processes efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
*Process Improvement:*

  • Identify and implement improvements to billing processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for billing and insurance verification.
  • Ensure training is provided to interpreting and accounting department and provide oversight to ensure processes are followed by all.

Billing And Invoicing

  • Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices for interpreting services provided to clients.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure all invoices are correctly delivered and recorded.

Insurance Eligibility Verification

  • Verify insurance eligibility for interpreting encounters.
  • Determine whether encounters should be billed to insurance or directly to the client based on eligibility and coverage information.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and procedures.

Collaboration With Accounting

  • Work closely with the accounting team to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
  • Ensure all financial transactions related to interpreting services are accurately recorded.
  • Develop processes and best practices for interpreting billing and work with accounting to ensure their adoption.

Client Communication

  • Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices and billing statements.
  • Address and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication and problem-solving.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of all billing activities.
  • Ensure all billing processes comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Document all billing processes and provide training for interpreting and accounting department teammates.
  • Provide financial reporting.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience in billing and data analytics.
  • Minimum of 2 years in billing reconciliation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, use VLOOKUP, macros, and develop complex formulas.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with database management, Microsoft Power Automate or interpreting scheduling software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High level of professionalism and customer service orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial management, health insurance claims, and the language services industry.
