Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM EST (includes 1-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks)
About the Role
We are seeking a
Lien Resolution Specialist
to join our high-volume personal injury law firm. This role is essential in managing client billing, medical balances, and lienholder communications. You will ensure accurate financial records and settlement statements so that clients, providers, and the firm are properly compensated from settlements or judgments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Accounting or third-party billing experience with a U.S.-based company.
- Background in medical billing, legal collections, or claims processing.
- Familiarity with
Chart Swap
and
Sharecare
is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook (basic to intermediate).
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Excellent typing speed and data accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and pivot focus in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Comfortable working in a technology-driven, paperless setting.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage several hundred cases within our case management system (
SmartAdvocate
). - Confirm balances with medical providers and lienholders.
- Input and update financial line-items, including:
- Medical bills
- Liens (health insurance, prior attorneys)
- Loans (Oasis, ClaimAngel, Peachtree, Global, etc.)
- Attorney fees, expenses, and client disbursements
- Track outstanding balances and follow up on unresolved issues.
- Coordinate with attorneys, accounting, and disbursement teams.
- Maintain detailed case notes and digital records in a paperless environment.
