Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an English-Chinese Translator, based in Nairobi. The Translator will be responsible for translating documents and communications between English and Chinese, interpreting during meetings or conversations, and ensuring accurate and culturally appropriate translations. The Translator will also collaborate with team members to support communication and assist with related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Translation and English Translation, with fluency in both English and Chinese
- Experienced in Interpreting to facilitate verbal communication
- Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent Writing skills for polished and accurate translation of documents
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with cultural nuances in English and Chinese languages
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Languages, Translation Studies, or a related field is preferred
- Previous professional experience in translation or language services is advantageous
