High-Level Overview
The client is an African-led delivery platform designed to unlock investment into priority climate and energy solutions that drive sustainable economic transformation and climate resilience. The client supports projects across the full investment lifecycle - from prioritization to preparation to financing - leveraging data, AI, and digital tools to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
The organization is initially focused on three catalytic sectors: energy (including clean cooking), critical minerals, and sustainable agriculture.
Role and Responsibilities

Key Deliverables:**
- Design/Systems: Develop and oversee governance structures for the delivery of national clean cooking strategies.
- Physical supply chain/logistics: Support pilot delivery and operationalization of selected strategy components in collaboration with partners.
- Execution: Manage stakeholder coordination, consolidate inputs, and translate findings into actionable project design documents.
- Capability building: Represent the client within the clean cooking ecosystem, positioning it as a trusted delivery partner. Lead efforts contributing to scaling the client's operations and systems (approximately 20% of role time), including support for digital platform design and investment roadshows.
Requirements
Experience Required:
- 8–10 years of experience in the clean cooking sector across Africa.
- Proven expertise and networks within the clean cooking and energy access space.
- Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives and delivering results in partnership-driven environments.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Competence in Excel-based cost and investment analysis (advanced financial modeling not required).
- Understanding of clean cooking technologies, data sources, and key sector metrics.
