Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design Research Graphics: Create compelling visuals and layouts for SCOPS reports, including infographics, data visualizations, and participatory design outputs.
  2. Residency Communications: Develop visual and communication materials for the upcoming R+D Residency 2026, including social media graphics, promotional layouts, and presentation templates.
  3. Collaboration: Participate in occasional design reviews, internal meetings, and field sessions as needed.
  4. Documentation: Maintain an organized digital archive of design assets and document the design process for internal learning.
  5. Any other tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Background in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Interaction Design, or related fields (undergraduate students or recent graduates encouraged to apply).
  2. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva.
  3. Strong visual sensibility and attention to layout, typography, and clarity.
  4. Strong foundation in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Design Thinking.
  5. Interest in participatory or co-design approaches and social impact projects.
  6. Comfortable working independently, managing multiple small projects, and meeting deadlines.
  7. (Preferred) Experience in digital design, website layout, or data visualization.
  8. Degree or currently pursuing education in Design, HCI, Anthropology, Sociology, or related fields is a plus.
  9. Women and early-career designers are strongly encouraged to apply.
