1.Purpose of the RoleTheJunior Accountant will support the finance team in managing client accounts,updating financial records, and maintaining compliance within a dynamicconsulting environment. This is a temporary consultancy role focused onproviding accurate financial data entry, reconciliations, and client support tofacilitate smooth financial operations during a busy period. 2.Key Responsibilities· Assistin day -to -day accounting operations including data entry, reconciliations, andledger updates.· Supportthe preparation and posting of journal entries and financial transactions.· Assistin managing accounts receivable and payable, collections, and paymentprocessing.· Helpin maintaining proper filing of invoices, receipts, and supportingdocumentation.· Providesupport to external auditors by organizing and sharing relevant records.· Assistin statutory and tax compliance activities including PAYE, VAT, and WithholdingTax.· Preparedraft financial summaries and reports for review by the Senior Accountant.· Respondto client queries with professionalism, patience, and accuracy.· Maintainconfidentiality and uphold integrity in managing client information. 3.Qualifications and Experience• CPA(K) qualification (Certified Public Accountant – Kenya).• Minimumof 2 years' experience in a reputable audit, accounting, or finance firm.• Strongunderstanding of accounting principles and basic tax compliance.• Proficiencyin MS Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage.• Excellentwritten and spoken English. 4.Key Competencies• Integrityand ethical financial conduct.• Attentionto detail and numerical accuracy.• Stronginterpersonal and communication skills.• Abilityto learn quickly and adapt to a fast -paced consulting environment.• Goodorganizational and time management abilities.• Calmand professional approach when dealing with clients. 5.Nature and Duration of Engagement• Consultancy -based,temporary role focused on supporting ongoing financial operations.• Immediatestart required.• Contractduration: [Specify period – 3–6 months], renewable based on performance andworkload. 6.Performance Indicators• Timelyand accurate posting of financial data.• Well -maintainedrecords and reconciliations.• Compliancewith statutory and internal accounting procedures.• Effectivesupport to the finance team and client accounts.• Positivefeedback from supervisors and clients. 7.Personal Attributes• Professionalismand reliability.• Positiveattitude and willingness to learn.• Highlevels of integrity and accountability.• Strongsense of teamwork and cooperation.• Composureunder pressure and adaptability to changing priorities.
