Purpose

Keep the Demand Planning engine running smoothly by owning the admin and analytics that sit behind accurate forecasts and a reliable Sales & Operations Planning rhythm. You'll maintain clean planning data in IFS, turn numbers into insight with Excel/BI, and provide holiday/absence cover for UK-based Demand Planners so operations never skip a beat.

What you'll do

  • Own planning data:
    Maintain and update demand-forecast data in
    IFS
    , ensuring completeness, accuracy, and auditability.
  • Cover UK planners:
    Provide holiday/absence cover for UK-based Demand Planners to keep day-to-day planning and reporting on track.
  • Analyse & improve:
    Use advanced
    Excel
    (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas) to track forecast accuracy, bias, and trends; flag risks and recommend fixes.
  • Report for decisions:
    Build concise reports/dashboards to support
    S&OP
    (weekly and monthly), highlighting deltas vs. plan and root causes.
  • Partner cross-functionally:
    Work with
    Planning, Commercial, Finance, and BI
    to align data, assumptions, and scenarios.
  • S&OP cadence:
    Prepare packs, document actions/owners, and chase follow-ups so decisions translate into results.
  • Continuous improvement:
    Suggest and test enhancements to data flows, master data quality, and planning ways-of-working.

What you'll need

  • Degree
    in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years
    in demand planning, data analysis, or supply chain support (FMCG exposure is a plus).
  • Strong
    Excel
    skills (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas; charting/visuals).
  • Experience with
    ERP
    (IFS preferred).
  • Working knowledge of
    S&OP
    and forecasting concepts (accuracy, bias, seasonality, promo uplifts).
  • Familiarity with
    Power BI/Tableau
    (nice to have).
  • Sharp numerical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
  • Confident communicator who collaborates well across time zones and functions.
