Position: Business Valuations Analyst

Location: Nairobi, Kenya.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Investment Analysis: Evaluate business pitches and financial models submitted by entrepreneurs to determine investment readiness and potential returns.
  2. Feedback Provision: Offer constructive and actionable feedback to entrepreneurs to enhance their pitch presentation and financial planning.
  3. Market Research: Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, risks, and opportunities to better guide potential investors and entrepreneurs.
  4. Investor Relations: Maintain and nurture relationships with our network of investors. Understand their investment criteria and match them with suitable entrepreneurial ventures.
  5. Reporting: Create detailed reports on investment opportunities, market trends, and platform performance.
  6. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest investment trends, financial tools, and CFA/CIFA /FMVA/FMI standards.
  7. Training and Webinars: Lead or participate in webinars and training sessions aimed at educating both investors and entrepreneurs about the intricacies of startup financing.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Actuarial Science or a related field.
  2. CFA/FMI/FMVA or CIFA certification preferred.
  3. Minimum of 3 years experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a similar role.
  4. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  6. Proficient in using modern financial software and tools.
  7. Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to network and maintain relationships.
  8. Familiarity with the startup ecosystem and the challenges faced by early-stage businesses.
  9. Deep knowledge of Excel /PowerBI/Matlab/R is a and added advantage.
