Job Purpose:

To support the finance and operations team in maintaining accurate financial records, managing

Inventory records, performing regular reconciliations, and ensuring smooth financial operations

Within the retail store.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping &Financial Records

· Record daily sales, purchases, and expenses accurately in accounting systems.

· Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and financial files.

· Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.

· Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and reports.

· Support in cash flow tracking and petty cash management.

2. Stock Management & Inventory Control

· Participate in monthly and quarterly stock takes.

· Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate variances.

· Monitor stock movements between branches or warehouses.

· Work closely with store staff to ensure accurate inventory documentation.

3. Reconciliation &Reporting

· Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.

· Reconcile supplier accounts, customer accounts, and internal control accounts.

· Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting and inventory records.

· Prepare periodic reports on sales, stock levels, and cash collections.

4. Compliance & Support

· Ensure all transactions comply with accounting standards and company policies.

· Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.

· Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

· Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

· CPA Part II or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.

· –2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or FMCG environment.

· Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Tally) and Microsoft Excel.

· Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
