About Afrika Collection

Afrika Collection is a multi-brand creative house under Bobu Lifestyle, focused on showcasing the beauty, soul, and craftsmanship of African culture. We design and produce handmade lifestyle, décor, DIY, and gifting products inspired by heritage, storytelling, and the diversity of African artistry.

We are looking for a highly creative, hands-on designer with strong crafting skills to join our team and help us bring meaningful African-inspired products to life.

Key Responsibilities.

  1. Conceptualize and design culturally inspired products that reflect African heritage.

  2. Sketch design ideas clearly and translate them into physical prototypes.

  3. Handcraft products using various materials (wood, clay, fabric, beads, metal, natural materials, etc.).

  4. Develop production-ready pieces that are both functional and beautiful.

  5. Collaborate with the creative team to refine designs, improve quality, and maintain brand identity.

  6. Participate in the full creative process: ideation, sketching, prototyping, material sourcing, and final product execution.

  7. Ensure consistency in craftsmanship, cultural accuracy, and product quality.

Requirements.

1.Bachelors Degree in any creative field.

  1. Proven experience in handcrafted product design, artisan work, or practical crafting.

  2. Strong sketching and conceptual design skills both hand and digital.

  3. Hands-on ability to mold, carve, shape, assemble, and finish different materials.

  4. Experience making prototypes and transforming ideas into tangible products.

  5. Creativity, originality, and passion for African culture, symbolism, and storytelling.

  6. Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple projects.

  7. Keen eye for detail, texture, color, and functionality.

  8. Bonus: Familiarity with DIY tools, crafting machines, or workshop tools.
