About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Network Systems Administrator to oversee and maintain secure, high-performing cloud infrastructure and remote desktop environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS architecture, network security, and remote system management, ensuring reliability, uptime, and data protection across multiple environments.

This role combines hands-on technical implementation with proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Management (AWS)

  • Manage and optimize AWS environments, including EC2, RDS, S3, CloudFront, Route 53, and IAM.
  • Configure and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure aligned with best practices.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and cost-optimization tools (e.g., CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Cost Explorer).
  • Oversee data backup, disaster recovery, and cloud-based automation processes.

Network Security

  • Design, implement, and monitor firewalls, VPNs, VPCs, and security groups.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch management, and compliance checks.
  • Manage SSL certificates, encryption protocols, and DNS security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Ensure alignment with ISO 27001, GDPR, and organizational security policies.

Remote Desktop & System Administration

  • Manage and maintain remote desktop environments for distributed teams.
  • Provide end-user support for connectivity, performance, and system access issues.
  • Implement and maintain identity and access controls across users and devices.
  • Oversee backups, OS patching, and endpoint security tools.

DevOps & Automation

  • Build automated workflows using CI/CD pipelines for software deployment.
  • Create and maintain scripts for routine monitoring, reporting, and maintenance.
  • Integrate systems with APIs and automation tools such as Zapier, Make, or Power Automate.

Performance & Incident Management

  • Monitor uptime, latency, and system logs to preemptively resolve issues.
  • Respond to and document security incidents or system outages.
  • Collaborate with development and security teams on root cause analysis and optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Cloud Computing, Network Security, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in system administration, cloud management, or network operations.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent (preferred).
  • Proven experience managing remote desktop environments and secure VPNs.
  • Strong understanding of firewalls, encryption, and identity management.
  • Proficient with DNS management, SSL configuration, and web security protocols.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration and cloud collaboration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Cloudflare, Azure, or hybrid multi-cloud setups.
  • Knowledge of Python or PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience integrating CRMs, analytics, and third-party tools through secure APIs.
  • Background in web infrastructure management (DNS, SSL, hosting, backups).
