Role Description

This is a contract role based Kenya, the consultant will be responsible for transforming the Africa Disability Protocol, the Persons with Disabilities Act 2025, and the Persons with Disabilities National Policy 2024 into clear, understandable Easy-Read versions. This involves using plain language, a simple structure, and appropriate visuals to ensure these vital documents are accessible to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, Down syndrome, learning disabilities, and those with low literacy levels.

Key Deliverables:

  • First draft of the Easy-Read translations.
  • Revised draft incorporating feedback.
  • Final version in editable and accessible formats.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accessible communication and translation.
  • Demonstrable experience in disability inclusion.
  • Must be registered and KRA tax compliant.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines.
