Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Assistant Operations Manager will support the day-to-day management of operations, oversee logistics processes, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure efficiency and productivity. They will assist in supervising the transport fleet, monitor supply chain performance, ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) standards, and liaise with clients to maintain strong relationships. Additional responsibilities may include analyzing operational data, implementing process improvements, and supporting the delivery of high-quality service to customers.

Qualifications

  • Strong operational management and logistics coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in supply chain processes, inventory control, and fleet operations management.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and decision-making abilities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of HSSE standards and commitment to maintaining safety and compliance practices.
  • Experience in the energy, petroleum, or logistics industry is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using relevant software and technology tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
