Background
The MSG Family Trust is recently established with the following objectives, amongst others;
● The management and administration of property.
● The application of the property in investment activities.
● The uniting of the Family in a common purpose and perpetuation of the family legacy.
It is with these objectives that we seek to recruit an Administrator.
Job Description
A. Reports to the Managing Trustee on behalf of the Board.
B. Establish and maintain financial reports and investment plans.
C. Prepare financial budgets and analyze projections.
D. Prepare a balance sheet and ensure the effectiveness of the process.
E. Update accounts, reconciliation and journal units.
F. Conduct month-end closing of accounts, identify issues, compare with historical performance.
G. Manage all external fillings and prepare management reports.
H. Review all financial operating processes and analyze results and ensure compliance.
I. Maintain property lease applications and due diligence of new tenants.
J. Manage account receivables and payables.
K. Ensure compliance to statutory procedures including taxes, levies, rates and process returns/filings.
L. Analyze business processes and develop cost-saving controls.
M. Review financial statements to ensure they are accurate and complete.
N. Communicate with tenants and effectively address all property maintenance matters.
O. Supervise property maintenance contractors.
P. Analyze risks and recommend effective solutions.
Q. Liaising with External Auditors and national and County Authorities as directed.
R. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Trustees.
Qualifications & Requirements
● A Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
● Hands-on experience in the real estate sector in Kenya.
● A minimum of two (2) years experience in accounting/finance and property management.
● Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task / prioritize.
● Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong organizational and planning skills.
● Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
● Ability to work under pressure, with minimum supervision.
