JOB SUMMARY

As a Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving the hotel's growth and success by optimizing revenues through effective account management and proactive client prospecting. Your primary responsibilities include achieving revenue targets, managing an assigned account base, and identifying new business opportunities in designated markets. The ability to adapt to changing market needs and hotel requirements is essential. Success in this role will be measured by your performance against set revenue goals, making you a key contributor to our financial objectives. Your efforts in building strong client relationships, developing strategic sales approaches, and conducting market analysis will ensure the hotel's competitive edge and sustained growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Sales Manager, your responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:Exceed Sales Goals: Achieve personal sales targets monthly, quarterly, and annually through account development, regular sales calls, entertainment, and participation in sales trips and tradeshows within the Leisure segment.Support Organizational Goals: Align with and promote the goals, objectives, and culture of Sawela Lodges.Lead Generation: Develop lead sources through prospecting, solicitation, referrals, trace files, and cold calls.Client Engagement: Conduct site inspections with prospective and existing clients to showcase lodge offerings.Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement new sales strategies, tactics, and action plans for your account base.Collaboration: Assist the Sales & Lodge Manager by referring lodge and catering leads and other business opportunities through active solicitation of your account base.Meeting Participation: Attend Sales Meetings, office events, and hotel-sponsored functions to stay informed and engaged.Reporting: Prepare and attend daily sales meetings, as well as weekly sales, marketing, and other necessary meetings. Submit weekly sales reports to the Sales Manager.Account Management: Maintain and update current account information in Opera and hard files to ensure accurate records.Industry Involvement: Participate in industry functions, trade shows, FAM visits, and industry events to network and promote Sawela Lodges.Standards Compliance: Adhere to and perform according to Sawela Lodges' company sales and marketing standardAdditional Duties: Assist with any other duties as requested by supervisors and management.QualificationsYour experience and skills include:Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.Experience: Previous leadership experience in Sales & Marketing is essential.Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with guests and clients.Communication: Excellent ability to communicate thoughts, actions, and opportunities clearly, coupled with strong networking skills.Leadership: Ability to lead by example, fostering a strong team culture and setting the stage for high performance.Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities.
