What You'll Bring

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Certificate plus 1-year experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in learning procedures and following instructions.
  • Ability to manage diverse activities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience in providing administrative support, including tasks like phone/customer service, mail distribution, coordinating travel arrangements, organizing files, and more.
  • Proficiency in working and communicating with a variety of individuals.
  • Experience in writing, editing, and proofreading written materials.

Desired Qualifications

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experiences are valued.
  • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
  • Experience in driving and maintaining vehicles for office and fieldwork.
  • Valid Kenyan driving license with over two years of driving experience.
  • Certification or training for fieldwork activities like diving support.
  • Computer Literacy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will report to the Operations Administrator and will be situated in the regional office, Nairobi. The Logistics Assistants will:

  • Work with the Kenya team to coordinate tasks related to various functional activities.
  • Assist in essential banking functions, procurement, meetings management, training, and more.
  • Coordinate access and allocation of vehicles for staff and arrange taxi services.
  • Manage external drivers and rental cars when necessary.
  • Support in booking meetings, conference venues, accommodation for visitors, and airport transfers.
  • Handle routine problems and maintain confidentiality when needed.
  • Assist in office administration, security, and janitorial duties.
  • Be open to travel, work overtime, and contribute to assigned projects.
  • Work in an environment with minimal exposure to harsh conditions and physical strain.
