About the Role:
As a seasoned professional, we are seeking an expert in Digital Lending and Risk Management to join our team. This key role will be responsible for structuring and leading strategic engagements with financial service providers to support their digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement credit policies and risk management standards to guide businesses through the digital credit cycle.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and roll out of digitally-enabled credit products for micro and small enterprise customers.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify and validate alternative sources of data for enabling digital lending.
  • Design strategies for the implementation of machine learning and AI-assisted risk management tools.
  • Evaluate portfolio indicators and provide input to senior management on identified risks and mitigation plans.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services, including at least 5 years as a senior leader in an MSE-focused technology business or Fintech experience in African markets.
  • Proven expertise in embedded finance, supply chain finance, and credit for e-commerce.
  • Strong knowledge of digital lending best practices, including authentication, credit scoring, customer relationship management, and fraud mitigation.
  • Excellent analytical, business, project management, and organizational skills.
  • A bachelor's degree or MBA in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
