Kenya Penda Health Full time 1,500,000 - 3,000,000 per year

About Us

At Penda Health, we're re-imagining what trusted healthcare can look like in Africa. We believe care should be high-quality, affordable, and centered on people — where every patient receives dependable and respectful service.

From a single medical centre, we've grown into a network of 17 clinics, supported by over 500 professionals who deliver care with consistency and excellence.

We're on a steady path of growth, expanding access to trusted healthcare for more communities across Kenya.

We're here to make healthcare better for our patients, our people, and our communities — because we're Here When It Matters.

Role Summary

The Senior Manager, Expansion & Strategic Projects plays a central role in steering Penda Health's strategic growth by ensuring disciplined, efficient, and on-time delivery of key projects, particularly Medical Centre expansion initiatives.

This role turns strategic ideas into executable plans, ensuring clarity of responsibility, well-coordinated timelines, and smooth collaboration across all functions. It serves as the engine that keeps complex, multi-stakeholder projects moving forward — from concept and feasibility through to launch and post-implementation review.

While the primary focus is on managing expansion projects, the Senior Manager may also lead or support other cross-functional initiatives that enable business growth, operational efficiency, or strategic transformation.

  • Apply structured project management methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) for consistency and transparency.
  • Build trust and alignment across stakeholders through clear communication and follow-through.

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with cross-functional leads to drive collaboration and shared accountability.

  • Coordinate feasibility studies and due diligence to inform expansion decisions.
  • Develop and maintain standardized tools and dashboards for planning, tracking, and reporting.

  • Apply root cause analysis and structured problem-solving to strengthen delivery.
  • Capture and apply lessons learned to improve future project planning and execution.
Continuous Improvement
  • Provide project management support to cross-functional initiatives that drive growth or operational excellence.
  • Promote consistent project management practices through coaching, tools, and capacity building.
  • Identify issues early, address risks, and encourage learning across teams.
  • Champion a culture of improvement by using data and reflection to enhance delivery efficiency and impact.
