Google Ads Account Manager (E-Commerce)

Location:
Office-based in Durban, Cape Town, Sandton (South Africa) or Nairobi (Kenya)

Working Hours:
USA schedule, 2pm–11pm SAST / 3pm–12am EAT

tma is recruiting for a Google Ads Account Manager to join an international e-commerce performance team. This role is suited to someone who is highly technical, detail-driven, and confident managing client relationships while working closely with a global team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize Google Ads campaigns, with a focus on Shopping and Performance Max
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Google Merchant Center, including resolving feed errors and ensuring accurate product data
  • Work within Shopify to install tracking tags, review backend configurations, and support accurate data flow
  • Analyze performance metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CAC, CTR and present clear insights
  • Lead weekly client calls, manage expectations, and provide strategic recommendations
  • Collaborate with international teams to support fast-growing e-commerce brands
  • Work US-aligned hours to ensure smooth communication with clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing Google Ads for e-commerce brands
  • Strong technical understanding of Google Merchant Center and product feed management
  • Hands-on Shopify experience
  • Ability to communicate confidently with clients and lead performance discussions
  • Comfortable working US hours in an office-based environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
