The Role

We're seeking a talented
Product Designer

to join our growing team in Kenya and help shape the future of AI-powered education. You'll be designing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that make complex AI tools accessible to educators worldwide.

What You'll Do:

Design & User Experience

  • Create Intuitive AI Tool Interfaces

  • Design user-friendly interfaces for our 50+ educational tools, including lesson plan generators, assessment creators, content analyzers, and interactive learning modules

  • Simplify Complex AI Workflows

  • Transform sophisticated AI processes into simple, teacher-friendly workflows that educators can navigate effortlessly

  • Design Multi-Platform Experiences

  • Create consistent experiences across web platforms, with future expansion to mobile apps and Chrome extensions

  • Build Responsive Designs

  • Ensure seamless functionality across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices

  • Create User Personas & Journey Maps

  • Develop comprehensive profiles of different user types

  • Competitive Analysis

  • Study other EdTech platforms and AI tools to identify best practices and differentiation opportunities

  • Multi-Language Design Considerations

  • Design flexible layouts that accommodate our 5+ language support without breaking user experience

Prototyping & Testing

  • Rapid Prototyping

  • Create interactive prototypes using Figma,  to test concepts quickly

  • Usability Testing Coordination

  • Plan and conduct user testing sessions with real educators to validate design decisions

  • A/B Testing Design

  • Create design variations for testing different approaches to complex features like AI prompt interfaces

  • Iterative Design Process

  • Use feedback loops to continuously refine and improve user experiences

  • Partner with Developers

  • Work closely with our Lead Developer to ensure designs are technically feasible

Product Growth & Innovation

  • Design for New Features

  • Support our product roadmap, including upcoming Chrome extensions, student-side platforms, and native mobile apps

  • Onboarding Experience Design

  • Create smooth onboarding flows that help new teachers quickly understand and adopt AI tools

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

  • 3+ years of product design experience, preferably in EdTech or SaaS
  • Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and design thinking methodology
  • Experience with responsive web design and mobile-first approaches
  • Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design process and problem-solving skills
