Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Officer located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The primary responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. The Business Development Officer will analyze market trends, create business proposals, and collaborate with internal teams to align business objectives with organizational goals.

Duties:

  • Create sales opportunities by developing leads and leveraging marketing and networking opportunities.
  • Building and managing a consistent sales pipeline
  • Work with the technical team to create presentations, proposals, business cases, proofs of concept.
  • Attending initial sales meetings and meeting the clients.
  • Determining a client's business requirements and whether the products being considered are suitable.
  • Presenting your findings to a technical team to act on, and then to the client.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent partnership-based relationships with clients.
  • Enter, update, and maintain CRM information on leads, prospects, and opportunities.
  • Prospecting customers through industry events such exhibitions, conferences, and meetings.
  • Managing client accounts to maximize both customer and company value.
  • Maintaining sales target

Skills/ Requirements:

·      Bachelor's degree in business or a related field

·      Progressive experience in sales and prospecting

. Minimum six months experience

·      Excellent communication skills both oral and written

·      Great Pitching and negotiation skills

·      Research skills

·      Human relation skills, a good listener and a field person

·   Prior exposure or a strong interest in ICT solutions sales is a definite advantage
