We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Head of Maintenance
with a strong background in
Mechanical Engineering
or
Mechatronics Engineering
to lead our maintenance department. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing maintenance operations, with specific expertise in
boilers and steam systems
, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reliability across our facilities. This role requires a strategic leader with at least
5 years of experience
in a similar leadership position, overseeing maintenance teams and driving continuous improvement in industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Team Management
    :
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills, particularly in boiler and steam system maintenance.
  • Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Maintenance Strategy and Planning
    :
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all equipment, with a focus on boilers and steam systems.
  • Oversee the creation and management of maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Implement data-driven maintenance practices, utilizing KPIs and metrics to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Boiler and Steam System Expertise
    :
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial boilers, steam distribution systems, and related equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, pressure vessel regulations, and environmental requirements for steam systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to boilers, steam turbines, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Budget and Resource Management
    :
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance department's budget, optimizing costs while ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Oversee procurement of spare parts, tools, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability of supply chains.
  • Safety and Compliance
    :
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to industry safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, particularly for high-risk systems like boilers and steam equipment.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for compliance with regulatory bodies and internal audits.
  • Continuous Improvement
    :
  • Drive initiatives to improve equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Implement modern maintenance technologies, such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and IoT-based monitoring for predictive maintenance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support facility upgrades, expansions, and new installations.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education
    : Bachelor's degree in
    Mechanical Engineering
    ,
    Mechatronics Engineering
    , or a closely related field. Advanced certifications in boiler operations or maintenance management are a plus.
  • Experience
    :
  • Minimum
    5 years of experience
    in a leadership role managing a maintenance department in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in the operation, maintenance, and repair of
    boilers and steam systems
    .
  • Experience with industrial equipment such as pumps, compressors, and heat exchangers.
  • Technical Skills
    :
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and mechatronic systems, with a focus on steam generation and distribution.

Working Conditions

  • Work primarily in an industrial environment with exposure to heavy machinery, high-pressure systems, and varying temperatures.
  • May require on-call availability for emergency maintenance issues.
