Cash Accountant

Job Function

To manage organization's cash transactions and ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of cash flows. The role involves monitoring daily cash positions, processing payments and receipts, reconciling bank accounts, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. The Cash Accountant plays a key role in supporting liquidity management and providing timely cash-related reports to aid decision-making.

Key Performance Areas:

• Monitor daily cash balances, prepare cash forecasts, and ensure liquidity.
• Record transactions and reconcile bank statements regularly.
• Process supplier payments, reimbursements, and maintain accurate records.
• Record incoming payments, issue receipts, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Prepare cash position reports and assist with financial statements and audits.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
• Ability to handle Credit card reconciliations and postings.
• Support audits and collaborate with finance team for accurate reporting.
• Liaising with banks to sort any queries.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in cash management or accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sap Business 1, Sap Hana) and MS Excel.
• Integrity & Confidentiality/capability to handle financial data responsibly.
