Role Overview

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Assistant Executive Chef to support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations. The successful candidate will assist in menu development, ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation, maintain cost efficiency, and lead the culinary team in delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

·      Assist the Executive Chef in planning, organizing, and directing kitchen operations.

·      Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and quality standards.

·      Support in designing and updating menus to reflect seasonal availability and customer preferences.

·      Monitor inventory levels, requisition supplies, and control food costs to minimize waste.

·      Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

·      Step in for the Executive Chef during their absence and maintain smooth kitchen operations.

·      Foster a culture of teamwork, creativity, and excellence within the kitchen team.

Qualifications & Experience

·      Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field.

·      At least 5 years of progressive kitchen experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

·      Strong knowledge of international cuisines, with a flair for African-inspired dishes.

·      Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

·      Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in a fast-paced environment.

·      Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
