JOB TITLE: DOCUMENTATION AND PORT CLERKAbout This Job:Q -SourcingLimited trading as Q -Sourcing Servtec is a man power management solutions firmoperating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda, Kenya,Tanzania, Rwanda, and South Sudan.On behalf ofour client, we are looking for a competent, skilled, and experienced Documentation and Port Clerk to work in Nairobi, KenyaJob Summary:Effectively and efficiently coordinate all Importand Export shipments Customs clearance and handling at various customsclearance points including JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport), ICD(Inland Container Depot), Container Freight Stations, Border points etc.  Professionally support the logisticsfunctions in compliance with clients, customs and all regulatory authorities'requirements.DUTIES& RESPONSIBILITIES:· Regulatory Compliance:· Compliance with Customs and local authorities'requirements for imports/exports handling of shipments including but notlimited to:· Ensuring 100% compliance of shipment documents as perregulatory requirements.· Follow up on processing of customs entries andensuring close follow up until they are released.· Proper Handling and accountability of all import andexport documents.· Generate clearance documents for customs clearance· Quality Assurance· Work jointly with the team to implement exports /imports SOPs· Maintain exports/ imports records· Maintain allocated documents as per approved Import /Export SOP· Operations Management· Collect documents from all handling sheds at the ports(JKIA and ICD)· Capture IDFs, Imports and Exports entries in customssystem· Follow up of customs approval and releases of Importsand Export entries· Manage parcels, documents, and letters as per deliveryinstructions, ensuring signatures are obtained as per receipts and deliverieseffected.· Dispatch all internal and external imports and exportsdocumentation within scheduled timelines· Engage with inspection authorities to ensure timelyinspection· Proper handling and accountability of all shipmentdocuments.· Liaise with all regulatory authorities at the ports(JKIA and ICD) to ensure expedited shipment clearance and release.· Communicate to Imperial shipment collection formairport upon release by customs.· Participate in the implementation of departmental andsite EMS objectives KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:· A Certification in either Customs Administration,freight forwarding, business management, clearing & forwarding· East Africa Customs Freight Forwarding PracticingCertificate (EACFFPC) is an added advantage· Clearing and forwarding working experience –Minimum 2 years· Analytical skills, attention to detail· Excellent Communication skills· Decision–making, problem -solving, creativity· Analytical skills, attention to detail· Ability to work in a team environment· Ability to work independently with minimalsupervision Interestedand qualified applicants should submit their applications through the linkbelow.Note:Only shortlisted applicants will becontacted.Q -SOURCING SERVTEC IS AN EQUALOPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
