Pharo School Nairobi
is a unique private institution offering two years of pre-primary education and primary grades 1-9. Located in the tranquil neighbourhoods of Komarock Estate and Umoja, Nairobi. We offer a Kenyan accredited Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC). Our approach emphasizes the development of well-rounded learners, encouraging each child to express their unique qualities and feelings. Opportunity
As we prepare for the
2026 academic year,
Pharo School Nairobi is launching a new recruitment cycle and is inviting fresh applications from qualified and passionate teachers.
We are seeking Upper Primary and Junior School Teachers who are motivated, student-centred, and have a proven record of excellence in teaching and classroom management. Successful candidates will join us from January 2026.
We are inviting applications from teachers qualified to teach in the following subject areas:
- Mathematics
- English
- Kiswahili
- Science & Agriculture
- Social Studies & CRE
- Creative Arts (Music, Art & Design, PHE)
- ICT
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the diverse needs of learners.
- Actively participate in the school's co-curricular and social support programs.
- Demonstrate a strong command of subject matter and continuously seek professional growth.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback through assessments, tests, and exercises.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records and progress reports.
- Collaborate with the Head of Department and Senior Teacher to address learner challenges and implement improvement strategies.
- Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Adhering to child safeguarding guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have a Diploma/Degree in Education or equivalent.
- MUST
have a TSC certificate. - At least 3 years' experience working as a teacher in the specific level applied for.
- Proficiency in computer applications / digital skills.
- Strong understanding of the CBC curriculum.
- Being active in extra-curricular activities is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with modern approaches of teaching.
- STEM experience is an added advantage.
