Role Description

This is a volunteer role for a Community Volunteer with Be Well and Green Network. The role entails assisting in planning, organizing, and executing community projects across diverse areas such as mental health, environmental advocacy, and social justice. Volunteers will engage in grassroots campaigns, support educational programs, and collaborate with team members to promote the organization's core pillars. This hybrid role requires on-site participation in Nairobi County, Kenya, along with opportunities for remote contributions and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for community engagement and outreach
  • Knowledge or experience in mental health advocacy, sustainability practices, or social justice initiatives
  • Organizational and project coordination skills for event planning and program implementation
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to address community needs effectively
  • Passion for meaningful social change and a commitment to the mission and values of the organization
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
  • Familiarity with the local community and proficiency in English; additional local languages are an asset
  • Educational or experiential background in public health, community development, sustainability, or a related field is beneficial
