The Collections Officer will be responsible for following up with clients to recover outstanding debts, ensuring timely repayments, and maintaining good customer relationships. This role is
commission-based
, with earnings tied directly to successful collections.

Responsibilities

  • Contact clients with overdue accounts via phone calls, emails, visits, or letters.
  • Negotiate repayment plans and encourage clients to clear arrears promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of client communications and payment commitments.
  • Monitor repayment schedules and follow up on defaults.
  • Provide regular reports on collections progress to CX Supervisor.
  • Build positive relationships with clients while ensuring company interests are safeguarded.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Business or a related field.
  • Prior experience in debt collection, sales, credit control, or customer service is an added advantage.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, resilience, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven.
