Collections Officer

The Collections Officer will be responsible for following up with clients to recover outstanding debts, ensuring timely repayments, and maintaining good customer relationships. This role is
commission-based
, with earnings tied directly to successful collections.
Responsibilities
- Contact clients with overdue accounts via phone calls, emails, visits, or letters.
- Negotiate repayment plans and encourage clients to clear arrears promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of client communications and payment commitments.
- Monitor repayment schedules and follow up on defaults.
- Provide regular reports on collections progress to CX Supervisor.
- Build positive relationships with clients while ensuring company interests are safeguarded.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Business or a related field.
- Prior experience in debt collection, sales, credit control, or customer service is an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, resilience, and ability to work under pressure.
- Self-motivated and results-driven.
