The Role

We are looking for a strategic and well-connected Regional Representative to strengthen TdH NL's influence, partnerships, and impact at the regional level. This role plays a key part in contextualising global strategies, amplifying children's voices, and advancing systemic change through regional advocacy and collaboration.

You will represent TdH NL in regional networks and policy spaces, coordinate advocacy efforts, and ensure that regional realities inform our global research, programmes, and influencing priorities. This position is ideal for someone with deep regional policy knowledge, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for child rights.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Advocacy and Representation

  • Represent TdH NL in regional networks, coalitions, and multistakeholder fora;
  • Lead the contextualisation and implementation of global advocacy strategies in the region;
  • Act as focal point for operationalising policies on Child Participation, PSE, and Gender & SOGIESC;
  • Coordinate regional advocacy campaigns and contribute to position papers;
  • Strengthen TdH NL's profile in regional child protection and rights spaces.

Strategic Coordination and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Programme Managers and Technical Advisors to reflect regional realities in programme and advocacy strategies;
  • Facilitate coherence between regional and global influencing efforts;
  • Provide analysis on regional trends and opportunities for advocacy and partnerships;
  • Feed regional insights into organisational learning and strategy development.

Child and Youth Participation

  • Convene safe and inclusive spaces for child and youth participation in regional advocacy;
  • Support partners in facilitating trauma-informed and ethical child engagement;
  • Ensure children's voices inform regional messaging and policy positions.

Technical Support and Capacity Strengthening

  • Provide training and guidance to partners and staff on advocacy planning and stakeholder engagement;
  • Support coalitions in strengthening their advocacy strategies and regional presence;
  • Facilitate learning exchanges and collaboration across regional actors.

Evidence, Monitoring, and Partnership Building

  • Monitor and document outcomes of regional influencing activities;
  • Collect case studies and lessons learned for use in research, communications, and donor engagement;
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with governments, civil society, and regional bodies.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in advocacy and policy engagement at regional or international levels;
  • Strong knowledge of child rights, protection, safeguarding, and gender equality frameworks;
  • Experience representing organisations in high-level technical or political fora;
  • Deep understanding of regional policy processes in Africa and/or Asia;
  • Experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement;
  • Demonstrated capacity strengthening and training experience;
  • Experience facilitating inclusive and ethical child participation;
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in relevant regional languages is highly desirable.
