Based in Nairobi or Dar es Salaam, this leadership role involves regular travel across East Africa to connect with distributors, customers, and key stakeholders.

Role Purpose: Reporting to the Managing Director, East Africa, the Services Director leads Scania East Africa's service strategy, driving growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction across the regional network through expert management of service delivery, parts, and workshop operations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Lead Services Strategy: Develop and implement the Business Unit's Services strategy and market plans, covering Parts, Service Sales, and Workshop Operations, aligned with Scania's global vision.
• Drive Profitability: Define and execute pricing and sales strategies to capture service potential, grow market share, and enhance profitability.
• Optimize Operations: Oversee Service Operations to meet financial, operational, and customer satisfaction targets.
• Empower Teams: Build, mentor, and engage teams, driving competence development, succession planning, and high employee performance.
• Strengthen Partnerships: Collaborate with retail management and internal departments to enhance service delivery, share best practices, and uphold Scania standards.
• Expand Services Portfolio: Create new solutions in line with customer needs, actively interacting and listening to the network.
• Champion Continuous Improvement (SRS): Lead adoption of the Scania Retail System (SRS), implementing lean processes, benchmarking performance, promoting standardized work, and ensuring best practice sharing across teams and departments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable experience & Qualifications:
• Extensive senior management experience across Wholesale, Retail operations, Services, Workshops, and Parts strategy.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the Services IT landscape, systems architecture, and operational procedures.
• Experience in Application and compliance with SHE and SRS principles.
• Higher education or equivalent work experience.
• Strong business knowledge and proven experience in a similar senior role.
• Extensive managerial and leadership experience, ideally in the heavy vehicle or related B2B industry, including managing a large team with P&L responsibility.
• Fluent in English.
