Job Title: Accounting Intern

**Location: Homescope Hostels

Reports to: Accountant**

Job Summary:

The Accounting Intern will support the finance team at Homescope Hostels by assisting with day-to-day accounting operations, including processing of payments, refunds, invoicing, allocation of receipts, and other related financial tasks. The role provides hands-on exposure to hostel operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier and service provider payments in line with company policies.
  • Assist in processing student/tenant refunds.
  • Allocate receipts against tenant accounts and update records accordingly.
  • Prepare and issue invoices to tenants and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation and filing.
  • Assist in monthly reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support the finance team with audits and other administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or completed a degree/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and MS Office (Excel proficiency preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a team environment.
  • Duration: 3 months
