Kenya - Finance Executive

Role Summary:

Responsible for providing support for finance related functions and performing activities related to the accurate processing of authorized invoices; recording, updating and reconciling related financial information; and providing instructions and/or accounting support to other personnel in accordance with established practices.

Contract: Permanent

Location: Kenya, Mombasa (On-Site)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information; scheduling and preparing disbursements; obtaining authorization of payment.
• Obtains revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying the Finance Manager of the customer's insufficient payments, if any.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation; issuing stop payments, payments, or adjustments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Raising all shipping line invoices and dispatch by 10th of every month.
• Checking and passing of all vendors/subcontractors invoices for approval 2-3 days after being received.

Candidate Requirements:

• Accounting/Finance Degree.
• Finance and Accounting knowledge/experience.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
