IRES offers a comprehensive portfolio of technical training and education services designed for individuals, and organizations working in the agriculture; climate change and environment; disaster management; education; food and nutrition; health; humanitarian relief; logistics and telecommunication; recovery and reconstruction; safety and security; water sanitation and hygiene sectors.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Business Development Officer at Oplos Marketing and Media, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and expanding our client portfolio. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with potential clients, and developing strategic partnerships to enhance our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the application of sales and marketing skills and technologies in various industries. You will do this through a variety of activities including developing modern and competitive training programs within the industry, selling the programs, proposal development, and assisting in the delivery of strategic projects within the company among others. Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing.Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.Strong understanding of marketing principles and digital media trends.Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospectsExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.Masterly of English with Clear Communication SkillsAdvanced skills in CRM software, PowerPoint, and Excel.Experience in selling training programs, seminars/events and consultancy services.Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quota preferably over the phone.Problem-solving aptitude.Capacity to analyze data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.Good leadership and team-building abilities.Capability in training and trust-building.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Identify opportunities for business growth and create marketing strategies based on those opportunities in order to meet and exceed revenue goalsConducting market research, competitor activity and developing tailored job role and industry domain training programs.Relationships building with our current and past clients, cross selling, reselling and upselling, through networking, cold calling, and other outreach activities.Formulate learning and development strategies by undertaking training needs analysis, review of organizational goals and training funding opportunities within the allocated segments.Consult with key internal and external stakeholders and participate in project planning and implementation of training programs to ensure alignment with contemporary industry standards and expectations.Developing innovative and exciting new ways of meeting organizational Learning & Development needs.Driving a culture of continuous professional development (CPD)Monitoring how effectively learning has been transferred to our clients and offering post training support when need be.Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients through networking, cold calling, and other outreach activities.Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop compelling proposals and presentations that showcase our services and capabilities.Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives.Monitor and track sales performance metrics, including pipeline development, conversion rates, and revenue growth.Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform sales strategies and tactics.
