Summary
Our client a local manufacturing company in Kenya seeks fo fill the abobe role. The incurmbent will be tasked with the responsibility of administering all IT assets and infrastructure, ensuring their optimal functionality, and providing support, repairs, and maintenance for desktop and laptop PCs.
S/He will have a keey role in planning, development, installation, testing, modification, and evaluation of all networks (LANs and WANs) and associated client services.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all end users have access to network facilities and devices with minimum downtime for their day-to-day operations
Ensuring continued operations by IT and end users by having optimal stock of consumables.
Preparing and processing company Server room maintenance - Ensure IT servers, routers, firewalls switches are maintained as per policy and kept in a controlled environment.
Ensuring that all end users have access to the IT facilities in all sections of the company
Ensuring that backups are successfully ran for all applications and user data systems servers on regular basis.
Ensuring all servers running on virtual environment are operating without issues.
Minimum Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least 3 years of experience supporting LAN/WAN infrastructure, datacenter hardware and software.
Organizing deployment of IT equipment, software implementations and user support for local and remote users.
Experience in IT assets inventory management.
