ABOUT THE COMPANY

Umba combines advanced tools and techniques to optimize risk exposures in emerging markets that are currently underserved by traditional banking services. The Umba platform allows users to apply, receive and repay microloans through their mobile phone while using machine learning to underwrite using a risk score that is highly accurate and improves over time. umba has just rolled out a new online POS solution and is teaming up with some of the biggest e-commerce merchants to increase customers access to online goods and services.

JOB SUMMARY

The direct sales representative actively interacts with prospective clients to market and sell a range of financial products. This person plays a crucial role in expanding the clientele, fostering revenue growth, and ensuring that customers have access to financial products and services tailored to their requirements.Requirements:Hold a diploma from a recognized university in any field.Exhibit excellent communication, presentation, and customer service abilities.Experience working in a similar role with a credit lender/provider is Desirable.Demonstrate precision, attention to detail, and a cooperative, assertive nature, capable of working independently and providing effective solutions.Exhibit responsibility, reliability and skills to identify opportunities promptly.Be results-oriented and self-driven, with a proven track record of performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement: Interacting directly with potential clients to understand their financial needs and objectives.Sales Presentations: Delivering effective sales presentations to communicate the features, benefits, and suitability of the bank's products to potential customers.Lead Generation: Actively seeking and identifying new leads to expand the customer base.Financial Consultation: Providing personalized financial advice and solutions based on the customer's financial situation and goals.Sales Negotiation: Negotiating terms and conditions, interest rates, and other relevant terms to successfully close financial deals.Compliance: Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and compliance standards in all sales activities.Relationship Building: Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to foster trust, encourage repeat business, and enhance customer loyalty.Customer Service: Providing excellent post-sales support and addressing customer inquiries or concerns related to banking products and services.Meeting Sales Targets: Working towards and achieving set sales goals, revenue targets, and other performance metrics within specified timeframes.
