Key Responsibilities

Under the overall supervision of the Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan, you will oversee the day-to-day management of PBF and MPTF portfolios. This includes monitoring progress and results of investments, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, facilitating coordination between projects, identifying capacity gaps and implementation challenges, and providing timely solutions and support.

You will also design and manage calls for proposals and other project development processes, provide guidance and support to UN agencies and I/NGOs during the development of new PBF and MPTF projects, review and provide feedback on project concept notes and proposals, and organize Technical Review Committees for proposal review and selection.

In addition, you will support recipient organizations to develop project-level monitoring plans, conduct routine follow-ups of project M&E plans, participate in field visits and joint monitoring missions, collect project-level data, develop mechanisms to aggregate, analyze, and communicate project data, and lead coordination and submission of bi-annual reporting processes.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual with a Master's degree or equivalent in peace and development, management, social sciences, or a related area. You should have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in programme coordination, project development, strategic planning, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation in conflict and post-conflict or transitional contexts.

Your experience should include working on peacebuilding and conflict sensitivity, liaising with governmental and diplomatic authorities, UN agencies, and national and international institutions, communicating results to these stakeholders, and understanding gender and youth issues in peace and conflict settings.

You should have excellent analytical and drafting skills, proficiency in computer software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and be proficient in oral and written English. Cross-functional & Technical Competencies

We are looking for an individual with strong business management skills, including portfolio management, system thinking, communication, and project management. You should have the ability to engage with a wide range of public and private partners, build, sustain, and/or strengthen working relations, trust, and mutual understanding.

Additionally, you should have the ability to extract, analyze, and visualize data to form meaningful insights and aid effective business decision-making.
