Strategic Operations Director

A dynamic leader is sought after for a key role in overseeing the strategic direction of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Oversee company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Provide leadership to position the organization at the forefront of the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and implement strategies to meet business and profitability growth objectives.
  • Review analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Provide general oversight of all company activities, manage day-to-day operations, and assure a smoothly functioning, efficient organization.
  • Develop, review, update, and implement business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance, and new product development.

Requirements
  • A proven record of success in senior-level general or commercial management, preferably in a manufacturing and construction industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a higher degree in a management discipline or a professional qualification.
  • A wide knowledge of manufacturing and construction.
  • An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques.
  • A very high level of commercial awareness.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications & Education
  • Post Graduate Degree in Business Management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in managing a significant business unit.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Strong commercial acumen to quickly understand the drivers of profitability and areas of focus for the organization.
