Job Title: Global Vice President Compliance

Our client, a leading stablecoin platform in Africa, is seeking a seasoned compliance expert to join their team as Global Vice President of Compliance. As a key member of the organization, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's adherence to regulatory requirements and statutory obligations across all areas of operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Lead a team of compliance analysts in conducting investigations, searches, and reviews to identify potential sanctions concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Global Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance teams worldwide to foster a collaborative compliance framework.
  • Engage with Sanctions regulatory authorities and industry standards organizations to build relationships and stay up-to-date on regulatory changes.
  • Assist in the development of regulatory and internal audit responses, and participate in internal audit and regulatory exams.
Requirements:
  • University degree in compliance, risk management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a compliance role, with a strong background in Sanctions and risk management.
  • Excellent knowledge of OFAC reporting requirements and experience filing Sanctions & Terror Reports.
  • Deep understanding of corporate governance, anti-money laundering (AML), investment and/or payment services regulations, and crypto asset regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in dealing with regulatory bodies and a solid understanding of legal and AML/CFT and anti-bribery and corruption compliance requirements and controls.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
