Job Role: Communications Professional

The position of Communications Professional is available with a global organization working in education, child protection, and livelihoods. The role will focus on brand awareness, storytelling, content creation, social media presence, and donor engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Storytelling
    • Create engaging written, visual, and multimedia content that showcases the organization's impact.
    • Collect and draft human-interest stories, case studies, and testimonies from the field.
    • Capture and edit compelling video content, including summaries of program impact and individual case studies.
    • Develop advocacy content, including video testimonials and other multimedia assets.
    • Assist country teams in creating content that aligns with global fundraising and communication strategies.
  • Social Media & Digital Engagement
    • Develop and manage social media accounts, including content scheduling and community engagement.
    • Develop an annual social media content calendar, aligning with organizational messaging and content.
    • Ensure content aligns with the organization's global social media strategy and visibility needs.
  • Media & Advocacy Support
    • Support media outreach efforts, including drafting press releases and building national media contact lists.
    • Develop and distribute content for advocacy purposes, including stories and visual materials.

Person Specification:

  • Essential:
    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
    • Familiarity with social media management and digital marketing.
    • Proficiency in content creation tools.
    • Passion for international development, education, and child protection.
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in NGO communications or journalism.
    • Photography and video editing skills.
