Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead our Herbicides & Insecticides portfolio in East Africa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive value maximization of the portfolio in the EASA Business Area.
  • Bring innovations that rejuvenate the portfolio and defend through efficient positioning.
  • Ensure integrity of the portfolio through active engagement with the Stewardship team and identifying mitigation portfolio steps.
  • Deliver increased innovation to growers through successful New Product Introductions.
  • Collaborate with AME portfolio leads on value pricing, product life cycle management strategy, business and profitability delivery.
  • Ensure execution of the Herbicides & Insecticides strategy and tactics to meet business objectives in East Africa.
  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative marketing campaigns.
  • Manage development and implementation of marketing strategies to satisfy customer needs.
Campaign Management
  • Provide market intelligence input and monitor customer behaviour to deepen market understanding.
  • Maintain 5-year product forecasts for the BA.
  • Design detailed campaigns to launch new brands, collaborating with the team.
  • Develop and communicate branding, positioning, and pricing framework.
  • Liaise with external agencies in content generation and execution.
  • Support sales teams and technical teams with product life cycle management.
Portfolio Management
  • Manage portfolio decisions across the Business Area, including product life cycle management.
  • Regularly review the Portfolio in EA to ensure a good fit for key segments and market needs.
  • Create and maintain clear products' categories and ensure right level of portfolio support.
  • Review value propositions of key products, adjusting them as needed.
  • Continuously look for portfolio optimization opportunities.
