Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Manager to support our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and supporting financial decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping:
- Maintain and update general ledger accounts.
- Record daily financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate reports on financial performance and variances.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Process invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Compliance and Audit:
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Tax and Regulatory:
- Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Stay updated on tax laws and financial regulations to ensure compliance.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and trends to support business decisions.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial performance.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues and provide support.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
