Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and align M&E plans, logframes, performance indicators, and data collection tools with donor expectations, internal strategy, and sector standards.
  • Build and manage simple yet rigorous systems for tracking outcomes and operational feedback.
  • Oversee quantitative and qualitative data collection using digital tools and fieldwork, train field teams and partners on consistent data protocols, and implement spot-checks and audits to ensure high-quality data flows.
  • Analyze program data, generate internal dashboards for decision-making, prepare reports with key trends and performance metrics, and provide insights that inform program pivots and strategic reviews.
  • Collect human-centered stories, testimonials, and photos from the field, collaborate with the People & Culture team to transform data into compelling content, package M&E insights into presentations and donor communications, and lead reflection sessions with program teams to review performance and lessons.
  • Support preparation of evidence-backed donor reports, respond to data or story requests from partners, evaluators, and journalists, and liaise with external evaluators during baseline, midline, or endline studies.

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies, Public Health, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least five (5) years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation, learning systems, and impact reporting, preferably within the livestock, agriculture, or health sectors.
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and manage M&E systems, including logical frameworks, performance indicators, data collection tools, and reporting structures in line with donor and internal requirements.
  • Demonstrated skills in using digital data collection platforms, data analysis software, and dashboard/reporting tools for generating actionable insights.
  • Ability to transform data into compelling stories, case studies, and reports for both internal and external audiences; strong writing and presentation skills are essential for donor reporting and stakeholder engagement.
